Hey just curious what kind of zoom lens you recommend for a safari? I'm going to Uganda next month and am thinking of taking a 55-200. Long enough, in your opinion?
Hi, the majority of the photos that you see on our blog have been taken with a 300 mm lens. I am not sure what type of safari or travelling you are planning to do in Uganda. The 55-200 is nice because it is compact and easy to travel with but for wildlife and especially birds you might wish you had a bit more reach. However if you are gorilla trekking, the 55-200 is sufficient. What camera are you using? Feel free to email me at discoveryonsafari@gmail.com Hope that helps & and enjoy your safari! Cheers Kevin
